David Cameron: I won’t do TV debates without my nanny

Me think little Davey’s nanny didn’t thrash her little charge hard enough.. If she had she might have made half a man of the foul little beast.


David Cameron’s increasing feeble excuses for not signing up to televised leaders’ debates ahead of the General Election in May took a new twist today as he said he wasn’t going to take part unless his childhood nanny came with him.

Whilst Labour, the Lib Dems and UKIP are all up for the debates, with the Greens and SNP also clamouring for a place, the Tories and David Cameron have repeatedly talked down the prospect of the debates happening.

Having made a number of excuses to date, Cameron’s latest explanation for not being keen on debating key political issues live on television with other party leaders is that he wouldn’t feel comfortable unless his nanny was there with him.
