Today my sister turned forty one, which calls for a cake

DSCF0861 DSCF0859

My sister Cheryl is nine years younger than me, the youngest of the three of us. She is also animal mad.
along with her dog poppy, a Patterdale, she has two rag dolls and four moggies, assorted chickens named after the desperate Housewives two ferrets and a big black duck called Abigail. Susan, her little silky chicken has had a little yellow blessing.. Called…. Blessing.

When Stacie thought of what kind of cake to make her there was really no other choice but than to do her feathered friends..

this is her first attempt at a figurine this detailed, her eyelashes aren’t painted on, they are black sugar paste painstakingly rolled, cut and placed.

Cheryl was so happy with the cake she cried.. Something that traumatised and touched Stacie in equal measures.
